Send your tech a friendly summary of what you found, and what you’d like sealed instead of more bait. It stays on this device until you share it.

Here’s what we’d like sealed instead.

Keep it friendly.

  • Start with thanks. Your tech can tell you what their company offers, and a clear, kind ask is easy to talk about.
  • Ask about monitoring blocks. Non-toxic blocks in the stations still show where mice are active, without poison (Cornell IPM).
  • Don’t remove or open the bait stations yourself. Leave them for your tech, and talk it through.
  • Leave a note on the stations. Print friendly bait-box notes →

Questions to ask your pest company

  1. Who removes the stations when we decide they do more harm than good? Ask up front, and get the answer in writing. Bait stations are often left behind when service ends. We’ve seen a single building with stations from four different companies.
  2. What’s in the stations? Poison bait, or non-toxic monitoring blocks?
  3. Will you seal the entry points? Ask for a written list of every gap and what each one gets sealed with.
  4. What happens when service stops? Ask what stays, what gets taken away, and whether any sealing work is covered.
