How it works

Three steps. No visit.

Send photos and a few answers

Take a few photos around your home with your phone and tell us a little about what you've seen. It takes about five minutes.

We review them

We look at every photo for the places a mouse can get in, from the obvious holes to the seams people miss.

You get your guide

A custom how-to guide that marks each gap, says what to seal it with, and puts the work in the right order. Plain steps you or a handyperson can follow.

What to photograph

Take photos like a mouse would look.

Low and close. For each spot, take one wide shot and one close-up. Photos don't need to be perfect, and you can send up to 8.

Highlighted: the six outside spots in the list below. Low and close wins.

Outside

  • Outside walls at ground levelEach side of the house, from a few steps back, then close-ups of anything low.
  • Where the foundation meets the sidingThe whole line, plus any crack or gap along it.
  • Garage door, bottom and cornersThe bottom edge and both lower corners. Daylight showing through is worth a photo.
  • Pipes, wires and AC linesAnywhere a line goes through a wall, showing the gap around it.
  • VentsAttic, gable, soffit and crawl space vents, straight on.
  • Roofline and eavesFrom the ground is fine. Zoom in, and please don't climb up for us.

Inside, and signs of mice

  • Droppings or gnaw marksPhotograph them where they are. No need to clean up first, and please don't touch them.
  • Under sinks and behind appliancesWhere pipes and lines come through the wall or floor.

The finger rule. If a gap is about as wide as your finger, a mouse can use it. Photograph the ones that look too small to matter.

The idea

It's not a mouse problem. It's a house problem.

A mouse in your wall is a small animal that found warmth, food and a way in. Your plan is about closing the way in.

Every gap, marked

Shown on your own photos, so you know exactly where to look.

What to seal it with

Stainless steel or galvanized hardware cloth and exterior-grade metal, sealed in with exterior-grade adhesives and sealants, so there's nothing left to chew through.

In what order

The steps, sequenced, so the work makes sense and nothing gets missed.

No poison. Ever.

Poison doesn’t close the gap. Sealing does.

Questions

Good to know.

Is it really free?

Yes. We're starting with free plans, and you won't be asked for a card or any payment to get yours.

Do you ever use or recommend poison?

No, never. Your plan is about closing the ways in, so nothing has to die.

What happens to my photos and info?

Your photos are used only to make your plan, and we'll never sell your info. The details are on our privacy page.

How long will it take?

Usually within a few days.

Do I need to be handy to follow the plan?

No. Your guide is written in plain steps that you or a handyperson can follow, and it names the materials to use.

What if I'm not sure I have mice?

Send us what you have anyway. A plan works for prevention too, and it's easier to close the gaps before anything moves in.

What is the optional box about a local pro?

If you tick it, we may share your contact details with a local no-poison exclusion pro, if one is available. If you leave it unticked, your details stay with us. We can't promise a match is available where you live.
